Continue the mission

Every contribution helps us continue this work.

The Fight Within Me began as a short film inspired by the experiences of African American soldiers who served during the Korean War. Today, it has grown into a larger initiative encompassing narrative storytelling, documentary production, educational outreach, and future museum exhibitions.

As we move into the next phase of development, contributions made through Zeffy help us continue this work and expand the impact of the project beyond the screen.

The Fight Within Me was inspired by the life and experiences of Korean War veteran Bishop Jimmy B. Hackworth.

His story revealed a larger truth: thousands of African American soldiers served during the Korean War, yet many of their experiences remain absent from the broader historical narrative.

This project exists to honor those individuals and ensure their stories continue to be shared with future generations.
